Asus 8z launch confirmed

The launch of the Asus 8z in India has been set for February 28. Apart from the launch date, Asus has kept the details of the device under wraps. Last year, the Taiwanese business released the Asus ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip smartphones in the worldwide market, which might be rebranded as the Asus 8z and Asus 8z Flip devices in India. It's worth noting that Asus won't be able to call the ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip the same thing in India since the Zen and ZenMobile trademarks are owned by a separate firm.

The Asus 8Z is expected to be released in India on February 28, 2022. Previously, the business planned to launch this product in India in August of 2021. However, due to the worldwide epidemic, everything came to a halt, and the gadget was unable to be released in the country.

According to the teaser from last year, the global and Indian editions of the Asus ZenFone 8 series are anticipated to have the same characteristics. If these phones are released in India as part of the Asus 8z line, they may feature identical characteristics, but with significant enhancements. However, because the corporation has not provided any information on this, it is only a guess at this moment.

Asus 8z specifications (expect)

A 5.9-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate is included on the smartphone. The display has a max brightness of 1100 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus edition. It sports an in-display fingerprint sensor and is water and dust resistant to IP68 standards. The Snapdragon 888 and Adreno 660 GPU power the 8z, and numerous models are planned, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and 12GB/256GB storage being the most notable differences. In addition to a 4000mAh battery, the Asus 8z has Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB OTG through USB-C. USB PD 3.0 is used for charging, and it can provide up to 30W of rapid charging.

An optically image stabilised 64-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens handles camera responsibilities, while the second rear camera is a 12-megapixel ultrawide. Dual-pixel PDAF is available on both cameras. The Asus 8z also has 8K video recording at 24 frames per second, 4K video up to 120 frames per second, and 1080p video up to 240 frames per second with electronic image stabilisation. The front-facing Selfie camera has a 12-megapixel sensor with dual-pixel PDAF and 4K 30fps and 1080p 60fps capability.

The Asus Zenfone 8 was released in Europe for EUR 599, which is around Rs 53,200 in India. However, the Asus 8z is projected to be much less expensive in India.
