Redmi, a Xiaomi sub-brand, has released a new smartphone in India. With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 CPU, a 6,000mAh battery, and more, the Redmi 10 is the company's latest affordable offering. The smartphone was unveiled at a livestreamed virtual event on the company's official YouTube channel. In India, the Redmi 10 will be available in two models and three colour options, and will be offered through Flipkart, official Mi Stores, and offline retailers.

The Redmi 10 begins at Rs 10,999 for a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and goes up to Rs 12,999 for a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Redmi 10 consumers who have an HDFC Bank card will get a Rs 1,000 discount. Caribbean green, Pacific blue, and Midnight black are the three colour options for the phone.

The Redmi 10 boasts a waterdrop-style notch with a 5MP selfie camera and a 6.71-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS2.2 storage. The Redmi 10 also has extendable storage options. The phone comes pre-installed with MIUI 13, which is based on Android 11.

It has an aspect ratio of 20:9. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the screen, however the version isn't indicated. Widevine L1 Certification is available on the Redmi 10 allowing HD watching across all streaming sources. The phone has a built-in 1.5W speaker as well as a standard 3.5mm connector.
