Sachin Tendulkar Birthday

On Sunday, April 24, Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar turned 49 years old. Tendulkar, who was born in Mumbai in 1973, is regarded as one of cricket's finest players. The 'Master Blaster' collected 34,357 runs in international cricket across three forms throughout his 24-year career. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), he scored 2,334 runs for the Mumbai Indians (MI). His father, famed Marathi author Ramesh Tendulkar, was a huge follower of great musician Sachin Dev Burman.

Sachin Tendulkar scored 15,921 runs at an average of 53.79 in 200 Tests. He scored 18,426 runs at an average of 44.83 in 463 one-day internationals (ODIs). He also appeared in a Twenty20 International, scoring 10 runs. The batting legend is also the only player in history to score 100 international hundreds. Despite the fact that Sachin Tendulkar, often known as 'The Little Master,' withdrew from cricket in 2013, he remains a role model for children all around the world.

When Tendulkar hit 200 not out off 147 balls against South Africa in Gwalior on February 24, 2010, he became the first player in ODI history to do so. He played in a record six World Cups, finally finishing up on the winning team in 2011, when India defeated Sri Lanka in the final at the Wankhede stadium.

In November 2013, when India hosted the West Indies in a Test series, Sachin played his farewell match — his 200th Test — at his home field, the Wankhede stadium. Tendulkar also represented Mumbai Indians in the lucrative Indian Premier League. With the assistance of one century and 13 fifties, the master blaster amassed 2334 runs in 78 matches.

In terms of the franchise, Mumbai will host Lucknow Super Giants at the legendary Wankhede Stadium on Sunday in their eighth game of the IPL 2022 season. Mumbai have yet to score this season, having lost their first seven games to become the only side in the league to have such a poor start. Mumbai's victory today, on the other hand, may be a suitable birthday present for Sachin, who won the ICC World Cup in 2011 and played his final international match there.
