KGF Chapter 2 box office collection: Yash's film makes history and worldwide 165 crore

KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi) had a great Friday, with 46.79 crores more coming in. Even if these were the opening day figures for a major Bollywood or South film, they would have been incredible. However, the picture is earning the same amount on its second day, despite having a record-breaking opening day of 53.95 crores. Of course, there is a slight dip in box office receipts, but this is to be expected given that the FDFS audience is diverse, and such films tend to even out on the second day. Even while a 50% drop was acceptable in the past, the film is now fantastic with a drop of less than 20%.

According to trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan, the film had a fantastic opening weekend, grossing Rs 165.37 crore worldwide on Day 1.

In another tweet, Ramesh Bala noted that Yash's KGF Chapter 2 debuted at No. 1 on the first day of release in every state except Tamil Nadu. Bala, on the other hand, noted that KGF Chapter 2's box office performance in Tamil Nadu exceeded expectations, and that theatres had to plan for special shows owing to high ticket demand.

All that remains for the picture now is to maintain its current performance on Saturday by remaining above the 40 crore mark. We'll find out in a few hours, but the numbers will continue to be massive and the film will set new records. KGF Chapter 2 has so far gathered 100.74 crores, and the target of 135 crores will be easily met today. After that, it'll all be about the Sunday push, and if the film manages to rake in another 45 crores, one can only image how much money the Yash starrer will have made at the conclusion of a long weekend.
