A new processor from MediaTek has been quietly unveiled. The Media Dimensity 1300 mobile platform is based on TSMC's 6nm technology and will debut in 2022, potentially with the next OnePlus Nord (Nord 2T / Nord 3) smartphone.

The Dimensity 1300 chipset is constructed on TSMC's 6nm technology and has four Arm Cortex-A78 processors, one of which is a 'ultra-core' capable of running at 3GHz, four efficiency cores with Arm Cortex-A55 processors capable of running at up to 2GHz, and a 9-core Arm Mali GPU. This chipset can support up to 16GB of 4266Mbps LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The Dimensity 1300 has a 9-core Arm Mali-G77 MC9 GPU for graphics. Displays with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a resolution of up to Full HD+ will be supported by the new processor (2520 x 1080 pixels). Up to 16GB of 4266Mbps LPDDR4x RAM can be used with the MediaTek chipset. It will also support the UFS 3.1 file system.

The latest MediaTek chipset's image signal processor (ISP) can support up to a 200 MP camera. Multi-person portrait mode video and 4K HDR video are also supported by the Dimensity 1300 processor. MediaTek's HyperEngine 5.0 gaming technology is also supported by the processor.

The Dimensity 1300 chipset, according to MediaTek, has a built-in 5G modem and provides real dual 5G SIM functionality. It also offers a 5G Elevator Mode and a 5G HSR Mode, which provide smooth 5G experiences with rapid recovery times and consistent speeds. It also has dual VoNR capabilities.
