On April 29, the Poco M4 5G will be unveiled in India. The company's official Twitter handle has revealed the launch date of its forthcoming cheap phone. Poco is also preparing to introduce the Poco F4 GT, which will be its mid-range premium phone, in the worldwide market. While there is no indication on when the Poco M4 5G would be available in India, we do have official confirmation.
Apart from the appearance, the teaser provided on Twitter does not reveal the handset's crucial specifications. It reveals that the Poco M4 only has two rear cameras, which is a significant drop. Its predecessor, the Poco M3, has a triple-camera setup on the back. The front of the phone has not been revealed by the business. Because it's a cheap phone, it's possible that it'll have a waterdrop-style notched display like the Poco M3. Unlike its predecessor, which was released in 2021 with a 4G chip, the new one will be a 5G gadget. The Poco M3 Pro with 5G capability was announced directly by the company. Yellow and blue will be the two hues available for the new Poco phone.
Poco M4 5G specifications (expected)
The Poco M4 5G's specifications had already been revealed. It's expected to operate on Android 12 with a MIUI 13 overlay on top. A 6.58-inch full-HD+ LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz is rumoured to be included in the smartphone. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC might be used, together with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The smartphone might be a rebranded Redmi Note 11E, which was released in China in March and is expected to be released in India as the Redmi 10 Prime+.
Poco is likely to equip the device with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor in terms of optics. A 5-megapixel front camera is expected to be included for selfies and video chats. Up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage might be available in the Poco M4 5G. According to previous rumours, the Poco M4 5G would have a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging capabilities.
Poco M4 5G price (expected)
Given that it contains a 5G chip, the Poco M4 5G is anticipated to be priced in the sub-Rs 15,000 range. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, this inexpensive phone might cost approximately Rs 12,000, which is possible based on the features.
