The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G, Xiaomi's next-generation premium smartphone, will be available in India shortly. The firm publicised the news on social media, although there is no official launch date yet. In a March 31 Twitter tweet, Xiaomi Global VP Manu Kumar Jain hinted to an April 12 launch date for the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The Galaxy S22, Motorola Edge 30 Pro, iQoo 9 Pro, and OnePlus 10 Pro are all Android flagships that were introduced earlier this week in India. The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G, which was introduced in China in December 2021, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU. The phone was released worldwide last month.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with LTPO technology that can reach 1500 nits of brightness. The display also supports Dolby Vision for an enhanced viewing experience. On the back of the phone, there are three 50-megapixel cameras, and on the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G comes with a 4,600mAh battery, Xiaomi HyperCharge quick charging at 120W, wireless charging at 50W, and 10W reverse charging.
The base variant of the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G costs $999 (about Rs 76,300). This means that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be priced in the sub-70K range in India, comparable to the OnePlus 10 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro. Prices in India are often cheaper than those in European countries.
