Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on July 8. Following a teaser that was published lately, Marvel unveiled the first official trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder on Tuesday. Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth instalment in the Thor franchise and the 29th in the Marvel Cinematic Universe overall.
Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor, who must drop the weight he accumulated prior to the events of Avengers: Endgame and rediscover new meaning in his life.
The trailer starts with Korg, a fan favourite character, telling stories of Thor's travels. We see him reconcile with his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who will play Mighty Thor in the film, and we see Christian Bale as the wicked Gorr the God Butcher for the first time.
Gorr resembles Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter films, with ghostly white skin and a sinister tone. With the hit Guns N' Roses song Sweet Child O' Mine playing in the background, the video previews Thor and Jane's comedic interactions, some rich fantasy world-building, and Bale's powerful performance.
Taika Waititi, who re-energized the brand with the critically and financially blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok, directs Love and Thunder. The Shakespearean hero was remade as a wise-cracking oaf in the film. Natalie Portman reprises her role as Jane Foster in Love and Thunder, and Russell Crowe appears as Zeus. Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper return as the Guardians of the Galaxy.
