Nothing Phone (1) launch date hint by CEO Carl Pei

CEO Carl Pei announced a possible launch date for the Nothing Phone (1).

Nothing said last month that it was working on a smartphone called the Nothing Phone (1). The handset is expected to arrive in the summer of this year. While the device's features have yet to be published, Nothing CEO Carl Pei may have hinted at an official launch date.

Pei responded to a user's question on when the Nothing Phone (1) would arrive in a recent tweet by saying, "6/9 at 4:20." The company previously stated that the phone would be released this summer, implying that the launch of the Nothing Phone (1) may occur on June 9.

The date is written in US format, implying that the Nothing Phone (1) will be released first in the United States, followed by India. The Nothing Ear (1), which was first presented globally before making its Indian debut, followed the similar procedure.

While most specifics regarding the phone are still unknown, the Nothing Launcher was recently released on the Play Store for a limited number of devices. Nothing's collaboration with Qualcomm also confirms the phone's Snapdragon processor. When the Nothing Phone (1) is released in India, it will be available on Flipkart.

Nothing Phone 1 specifications

In a recent tweet, a tipster exposed the majority of the specifications for the Nothing Phone (1). According to the tweet, the Snapdragon 778G SoC will be used in the Nothing Phone (1), which will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate could possibly be included.

A 50-megapixel primary sensor will be combined with an 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro or depth sensor on the phone. There will also be a 32 MP selfie camera on the phone. It could have a 4,500 mAh battery and support for both wired and wireless charging. The launcher for Nothing OS is based on Android 12.
