OnePlus was said to be aiming to introduce a slew of Nord phones in India this year, according to a leak from earlier this month. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G have already been released. According to a fresh report, OnePlus is going to release the Nord 3 "soon."
The information comes from tipster Mukul Sharma, who saw the phone's moniker on the company's India website, although there's no word on when it will be released. Another source, Yogesh Brar, said that Nord 3 will be released in India in July. The phone's name was rumoured to be OnePlus Nord Pro at the time.
The fresh evidence comes days after MySmartPrice reported, citing industry insiders, that OnePlus is working on a new gadget codenamed Meili. According to reports, this new smartphone is a Nord phone, most likely the Nord 3. It is expected to have an AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, according to specs.
OnePlus Nord 3 features and specifications (expected)
According to reports, OnePlus will continue to sell the Nord 3, a smartphone with a triple-camera configuration on the back and a 4,500mAh battery that now supports 80W fast charging. The phone is also believed to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 SoC. OnePlus Nord 2 was the first smartphone in the company’s lineup to have a MediaTek processor.
OnePlus may release a OnePlus Nord 2T before the OnePlus Nord 3, according to the digital journal. A MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 50MP triple-camera configuration are all said to be included in the smartphone. The phone might possibly come with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W rapid charging. Finally, it may come pre-installed with Android 12.
Meanwhile, OnePlus has released the OnePlus 10R in India, which features a whopping 150W rapid charging capability. The phone does, however, come in a more modest version that offers 80W fast charging.
